More and more people are going to buy music online.     Let's face it, record companies have had it good and they wish it to stay that way, yet mostly what we've been hearing about music online is an outrageous uproar over piracy and how this hurting the artists. I'm certainly not defending piracy, but it's the record companies that have been hurting the artists to start with, and as more and more people find out the truth, naturally you see more and more people looking into alternative ways to promote their music. Couple this with the fact that record companies try to use the same stable of artists for everything, rather than take chances on new comers or new ideas and you can see why the record companies seldom give the public anything new.

   The endless talk about piracy is distracting people from the issue that the record companies are really afraid of and that is the internet is an ideal place for new music to be heard and more and more people are going to buy music online. If you are looking for something that is truly new and cutting edge, most likely you are going to buy music online.
