FeedSpot Says We're Pop-And Classical Too
Dizzy O’Brian Named One of FeedSpot’s Top Pop Music Blogs
Well, this was a pleasant surprise.
FeedSpot has listed DizzyOBrian.com among its Top 60 Pop Music Blogs.
That is especially gratifying because this blog has never been designed as a conventional music-news site. It is a place where music, surreal storytelling, cultural commentary, mythology, animation, satire, and the ever-expanding Dizzyverse all collide.
Apparently, that collision is making enough noise to be noticed.
The Dizzy O’Brian blog has grown into a home for story music videos, original alternative rock, behind-the-scenes reflections, interviews with improbable characters, and the occasional Dizzy Rant about modern life. Being included among FeedSpot’s recommended pop music blogs feels like a wonderful acknowledgment of the strange path we have chosen.

And Then Things Got Even Stranger
FeedSpot also included DizzyOBrian.com among its Top 100 Classical Music Blogs.
Yes, classical music.
We had to laugh—but only because it also makes a peculiar kind of sense.
Dizzy O’Brian’s music has always lived somewhere between alternative rock, orchestral composition, experimental music, cinematic storytelling, and what we have come to call Third Stream Alternative Rock. Classical influences frequently find their way into the arrangements, even when the music eventually wanders into psychedelic rock, grunge, punk, electronic textures, surreal theater, or an android dance sequence on the moon.
So perhaps FeedSpot has noticed something we have been saying all along: genres are useful signposts, but they are not prison cells.

And yes, we are also taking a moment to applaud this strange little blog.
DizzyOBrian.com has become much more than a place to announce new songs. It has become an archive of an evolving artistic universe—a place where music leads into stories, stories lead into mythology, mythology leads into satire, and satire occasionally leads to tea with aliens, cobras, androids, fairies, pharaohs, and management consultants from Wonderland.
Being recognized in both pop and classical music categories seems appropriately Dizzy.
Thank you to FeedSpot for including us, and thank you to everyone who has visited, listened, watched, read, shared, or stepped through the rabbit hole with us.
The story is still unfolding.
